Gretsch G6136 Stephen Stills White Falcon Electric Semi Guitar

In Aged White has gold-flecked binding and inlaid "Stephen Stills" signature in ebony fingerboard

The Stephen Stills White Falcon is truly unique. Great effort has been taken to design an instrument that is as close as possible to Stills’’ original Falcon, right down to the aged white color.

The maple body features oversize f-holes with a distinctive gold-flecked binding. The 3-piece maple neck has an ebony fingerboard with neoclassical position markers and a beautifully inlaid "Stephen Stills" signature between the 18th and 21st fret. The White Falcon Headstock features a goldflake Gretsch logo and Grover Imperial tuners. Electronics include FilterTron pickups with Alnico magnets and dual switches for pickup selection and tone. Trademark Falcon volume knobs
with red rhinestone markers complement the gold-plated adjustable bridge and Bigsby tailpiece.

After playing in various folk groups, Stephen Stills wrote and had a major hit with 'For What It’s Worth' with Buffalo Springfield in 1967, and was later one of the biggest stars of the 1970’s with Crosby, Stills and Nash, later Crosby Stills, Nash and Young. He also made several great solo albums, and was the leader of the amazing the genre-spanning group Manassas (featuring ex-members of the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Bros and ex-CSN sidemen. He was a prolific session man too - appearing on recordings for Bill Withers, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young etc. There are also reputedly several hours worth of tapes of Stills jamming (on bass) with Jimi Hendrix!
